Sunday, April 22 is Earth Day
Let's Work Together to End Plastic Pollution! Plastic pollution is poisoning our oceans and lands, injuring marine life, and affecting our health. There are many ways this EARTH DAY that you can make a difference: 1. Take the Plastic Pledge to reduce the amount of plastic you are using. By adding your name to the plastic pledge, you are pledging to decrease the amount of plastic in your life and make efforts to decrease the amount of plastic in your community and the world. 2. Have a Community Clean -Up or join an organization hosting a community clean up. Take photos of the plastic you find and send them to plasticfreepeg@gmail.com or post them on social media. Remember to tag us @greenpeacewpg @plasticfreepeg 3. Lastly, Reduce and Reuse! Ask yourself do I need this? Can I use something else? There are fantastic reusable items on the market today. Refuse the plastic bag, cups, plates, cutlery, and/or straw! We are dedicated to supporting and making the change that will benefit us all! Please join us in ending plastic pollution. Happy Earth Day from the Greenpeace Winnipeg Group! |
